Afang soup is native soup that came from Efik tribe and are mostly cooked by calabar people.
Afang soup is a delicious and quick soup to prepare.
Today I will be showing you the easiest way to prepare afang soup.
Ingredients
Afang leaves (okazi leaves)
Water leaves
Cow meat
Stock fish
Dry fish
Kanda
Palm oil
Maggi, onion, pepper, crayfish
Periwinkle
Method of preparation
Grind your afang leaves and cut your water leaves and keep aside.
Cook your stock fish, dry fish, kanda and meat in a pot, season to taste.
When your stock is ready, put in your palm oil, crayfish and pepper and allow to cook for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, add your salt and maggi to taste and cook for 5 minutes. Add your periwinkle and water leaves and allow to cook for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, add your afang leaves and Cook for 2 minutes.
Bring down and serve with hot Eba.
